Environmentally aware in every business decision

At SCTV we are environmentally aware in all business decisions.

As the largest online training provider to the health and social care sector in the UK, we significantly impact the carbon footprint of our trainees that may, otherwise, need to travel to physical training sessions via using cars and / or buses.

As a company, our Directors and staff do not take flights for business. All international business is conducted via telephone and video conferencing. On a national level Directors and staff rarely drive – again conducting business via telephone and video conferencing.

Supporting the people who care

The Care Workers’ Charity

We are committed to improving the well-being of care workers in the UK. That’s why we are a Bronze Sponsor for The Care Workers’ Charity, an award-winning organization led and staffed by former care workers.

Our support ensures care workers have a lifeline when they experience financial hardship, enabling them to access grants to cover unexpected costs such as a funeral for a loved one, or purchasing essential household items. The charity also provides access to qualified therapists and mental health first aider training so that care workers have the emotional bandwidth to continue delivering high quality care, and the tools to better support their colleagues.

Since 2020, The Care Workers’ Charity has supported over 8900 care workers across the UK with a total of £5 million in Crisis, Covid-19, Funeral and Mental Wellbeing and Health grants. Each year, we donate a set amount to The Care Workers’ Charity, supporting a more sustainable future for the UK social care workforce.

Care Worker of the Month

At Social Care TV, we have been in touch with care workers across the UK for 25 years. We know all too well that their selfless dedication is often overlooked. We believe that care workers deserve reward and recognition.

In March 2022, we launched our ‘Care Worker of the Month’ award, encouraging those in the sector to nominate care workers that they feel go above and beyond and deserve to win. Each and every month one inspirational person receives our Care Worker of the Month award, and receives a £100 M&S voucher, a Care Worker of the Month certificate and 50 free training credits which can be applied to their workplace account.
